Alison Krauss
The beginning of the popular recognition came from bluegrass musician Alison Krauss in 1990 when, at the age of 19 she emerged of her first Grammy Awards with the trophy for Best Bluegrass Album. The third album of Krauss, I've Got That Old Feeling was awarded the prize even though she was only 19 years old. Too Late To Cry is her first album. The album was released in Champaign Illinois in the year she was at the age of 16. In the year 14 she signed a deal for her debut album with Rounder Records - one of the most revered folk-based labels. Her achievements so young and her incredible virtuosity has always been in awe of her dedication to bluegrass. It is the most ancient and most overlooked in traditional American music forms. Krauss was now maturing from being a teenager phenom to a seasoned musician and producer.
