
Suzanne Pleshette was an American voice actress, actor, and film actor. She was born in January 31, 1937 until January 19th, 2008. Pleshette began her acting career in the theatre and then she appeared in films during the latter half of the 1950s. She later appeared in a number of notable films, including Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), or Spirited Away (192001). Later, she was a part of various television productions, mainly in guest roles. She played Emily Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 until 1978, receiving several Emmy Award nominations for her work. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan), and Eugene Pleshette. She was born in Brooklyn Heights, New York City on January 31 in 1937. Her parents were Jewish as were the descendants of immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary.Her mother was an artist and dancer who performed under the stage name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was stage director for the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, as well as the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
