Alisyn Camerota
Alisyn Camerota is a journalist as well as an author, and is the anchor for CNN's morning show "New Day." She is a resident of Westport, CT, and was appointed to the Westport Country Playhouse's Board of trustees. Camerota is an editor for more than 30 years, has covered stories across the globe and nationally. She was awarded the Emmy Award in her early career when she covered the arrest by Roger Stone and the Edward R.Murrow Award for breaking the story of the hurricane Maria. Johnna G. Torsone, from Stamford was appointed Honorary Trustees for her work as a trustee on the Board since 2007. Anna Czekaj Farber of Westport was elected chair of the board following an appointment on the Board from 2013. Czekaj Farber takes over from Barbara Streicker, a Westport resident who served as the chairperson of the board since October 2015. The board chair continues to serve as a board member, that began in 2006. There 26 trustees are on the board of The Playhouse.
