Aspen Ladd started her combat sports journey at age fourteen. She studied kickboxing, boxing as well as wrestling, before making her first appearance in amateur competition at WCFC in front of Jaimee Nievera. She faced Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11, and defeated her to secure a first-round TKO. Invicta Combat Championships 16, She took the following match against Amanda Cooper through a second-round Armbar submission. Aspen made use of her wrestling prowess to take down McGill in third round TKO. Aspen took on Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. Aspen fought Hoy as a catchweight (138.1lb) because Ladd didn't weigh in. Aspen still dominated Hoy to finish her in second round by TKO. In her last fight for this promotion, Ladd beat Sijara Eubanks by unanimous decision at Invicta FC 21.
