A mix between pop music and Reggaeton was released in 2017 by singer from Puerto Rico Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee. The track has become the most streamed track at that in just 6 months. Billboard's Top 100 in 2015 had two songs mostly of Spanish and 2016 saw four. In the height of Despacito's popularity in 2017 19 songs mostly in Spanish reached the top 100. This number rose to 41 by 2020. Justin Bieber remixed Despacito 2017 with a version in two languages. Soon, other artists collaborated with reggaeton superstars such as Drake and Bad Bunny with MIA (2018), Madonna and Maluma together with Medellin 2019. In the year 2020, a handful of reggaeton stars were complaining about their genre's shift towards the mainstream, but a new generation namely Rauw Alejandro was determined to continue the evolution of reggaeton. It was often associated with electronic dance, as well as other types.
